Sync will offer 2 fellowships per year, to an international curator of no age or career-level requirement, who will conduct research throughout Athens or Greece for a period of 8 weeks, and prepare an event in the form of an exhibition, public program or other, in collaboration with the residency’s respective venue at the time. Accommodation, travel and living expenses along with all costs and production expenses will be covered by sync. For a group exhibition, the requirements would be the incorporation of a minimum of 2 Greek or Greece-based artists, while for the public program or media/performative event, it would have to have a relevance to the local cultural and sociopolitical specificity of the region. Invitation will be via an open call once a year, followed by an alternating jury-selection process, where the last resident will also serve on, and it will culminate in the selection of the two residents for the upcoming year.
